Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Philadelphia peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

If this is your first time and have never been seen here before, a walk-in is your most likely option. Here are the steps- 1) sign your name on the clipboard to the left upon entering the building and take an intake sheet that needs to be filled out and given to the nurse when they call your name and usher you to a patient room (note- the closer you arrive to 7:30am, which is when they open the doors, the sooner you will be seen as it is first come first served). There are also patients who will be there for scheduled appointments so there may be other people called in addition to those on the sheet; 2) take a seat in the waiting area and wait for your name to be called (I waited 50 minutes and I arrived at 7:40am and was second on the list). *As a new patient, be sure to have proof of Philly residency. Otherwise there may be an issue. A State ID with a Philly address is preferred but they will also accept a lease agreement that has your name on it and a Philly address. *It must be a paper copy.* A utility bill may also work, again as long as your name is on it and a paper copy. Not the most streamlined way of doing things when we have email and phone nowadays that can seemlessly

Health Center 3 is a fantastic resource for the Philadelphia community, especially for working-class people. Whether you have health insurance or not, they prioritize getting you the care you need. While the staff might not always have the "concierge" feel of a major private hospital, they are professional and effective at managing your health. A huge plus is the pharmacy located right inside the buildingβbeing able to see a doctor and pick up your medication in one trip is a major relief. Highly recommended for those who need reliable, no-nonsense healthcare.

The people who "work" at this location need a training seminar or something. No one should have to pay for transportation to come and pickup their medication, only for this place to randomly be closed. Do better.

After reading about people's experiences with this clinic, I was hesitant to go there. Because I don't have health insurance, I wanted medical service that was affordable (as every medical service should be). Walk-ins must sign in and grab a walk-in form. Once signed in, I sat down in the waiting room. You don't need to get in the line if you are walk-in. Twenty minutes later, the nurse called me. I told her about my symptoms, and she got me an appointment right away. I went back to the front desk and the person who registered me was great. Since it wasn't going to be long, I decided to wait. I waited 20 minutes past my scheduled time, but it wasn't a big deal. I was tested for strep throat (positive), prescribed antibiotics, and picked them up at the clinic pharmacy. From the front desk person to the pharmacist, I felt well taken care of. I hope everyone would have a positive experience as I had. Health care in this country can be so cruel and dehumanizing.
